Description

Our Farm-to-Table honey is “Pure and Treatment Free.” No Pesticides, No Synthetic Miticides, No Chemicals used -EVER- in or near the Bee Hives. The only added ingredient is LOVE.

Pure honey purchased from Real Texas Beekeepers© is NOT adulterated like many store-bought honey products containing sugar water or corn syrup. Even reputable grocery stores often purchase honey that is imported without their knowledge from countries using questionable harvesting and bottling practices. Store-bought honey processed at large, federally regulated honey bottling plants is heated and homogenized which removes the pollen granules and destroys the natural, healthy enzymes found in honey. Don’t trust the LABEL- Trust YOUR beekeeper!

All pure honey crystallizes when it is in its natural state. If you notice your honey has thickened or become grainy- that’s natural! It is crystallizing- there is nothing wrong with your honey nor does this natural process affect its taste or nutritional and health benefits. We sell crystallized honey as a premium product in small batches prepared in a manner to promote this process since people LOVE to spread it on toast, or eat it when it’s like this! All natural honey does this, especially when you purchase pure, natural honey that has not been heated like honey purchased in stores. However, if you do not wish your honey to be crystallized but rather more liquid, read below- you can easily reset it.

  • FDA guidelines require standardized, “Big-Business” store-bought honey to be heated and homogenized in order to prevent crystallization of honey on shelves or in warehouses since it takes months to process, ship and sell. This is not the case for farm-to-table products or family-farm-harvested honey.

  • You do not have to request a return of exchange for crystallized honey. We only ship honey in its liquid form unless you happened to purchase our rare batches of thicker honey or if you bought Cream Honey. If your honey crystallizes in shipping (this can occur in Winter months), simply place the bottle in a bowl of hot water and it will re-constitute to its original state naturally. If your honey crystallizes on the shelf this same process will return it back to its natural, more liquid state.

  • Prevent crystallization by keeping your honey on a windowsill in warm months, or near the stove in cold months. Or just don’t worry about it! Crystallization happens to all natural, pure honey- if you want your honey to be more liquid- or runny, warm the amount you want to use as suggested above. You can do this repeatedly to any honey. Do NOT heat honey in the microwave, as extreme heat breaks down the natural enzymes in honey which are so healthy to the human body.
